What is organic Schisandra Powder?

The Schisandra berries are the fruit of the Schisandra plant, also known as Schisandra chinensis. The berries are also Schisandra mainly grows in China where they have the perfect environment to really grow. The berries of the Schisandra plant have a round shape and a red colour. The seeds of the berry are shaped like a kidney. The taste of the Schisandra berry is very unique because it has five different flavours at the same time: sweet, sour, salty, hot and bitter. In China, the berry is called ‘’wu wei zi’’ which means ‘’the five-flavoured berry’’ which clearly describes the Schisandra berry.

There is no need to use any pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and other harmful chemicals since they are grown in naturally fertile soils, we do not need to use any artificial fertilizers on it. Our Schisandra is organically certified by SKAL Biocontrol and is, therefore, EU organic certified.
