What is Rosehip?
Everybody knows what roses are. Around the world, there are over 100 species of roses and one of these species, a wild rose plant called Rosa Canina, produces blossoms which develop into fruits which we then call rosehips. The rosehips can be found right under the petals in the rounded part of the flower. The flesh of the rosehip tastes similar to rose petals, plums and sour apples all at the same time. But inner seeds are not meant to be eaten by humans, because it has hairs which irritate the intestines. The rosehips where used in the 17th century as a herbal tea, throat soother and treatment for colds, when there were no oranges the rosehip was used to make jams, jellies and syrup.

Yes! We are certified by SKAL and the Rosehip we use for our rosehip powder originates from Chile. There is no need to use any pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and other harmful chemicals since they are grown in naturally fertile soils, we do not need to use any artificial fertilizers on it. Our Rosehip is organically certified by SKAL Biocontrol and is, therefore, EU organic certified.
How is your Rosehip made?
To avoid a declined quality, we take extra care by air-drying our rosehips and by making sure that the temperature stays under 43 degrees Celsius. All the nutrients in the hips are retained by using this method.
