Mulberries are one of the most common fruits there is, but they are not really berries we just treat them that way.
What are Mulberries?
Mulberries do not grow on bushes, but instead, they grow on trees (Morus). Mulberries are very juicy and sweet-sour from the flavour. Mulberries are green from colour and changes colour to red and then purple throughout the ripening process. The mulberries look like many small fruits are gathered together and have clumped together. Some of the species are coloured white, red or other colours.
In the world there are three different mulberry species, these are the White Mulberry from Eastern and Central China, The Black Mulberry From Western Asia and the Red Mulberry from the eastern United States.
Are your Mulberries organic certified?
Yes! We are certified by SKAL and the Mulberries we use originate from Turkey. There is no need to use any pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and other harmful chemicals since they are grown in naturally fertile soils, we do not need to use any artificial fertilizers on it. Our Mulberries is organically certified by SKAL Biocontrol and is, therefore, EU organic certified.
How are your Mulberries made?
At NutriBoost we offer dried mulberries which are from the best quality. This, because we grow our mulberries in Turkey. This is one of the best places to grow our mulberry tree, because the area where we grow our mulberries is on a steep slopes which is free from pollution and other harmful things. The farmers we are working with know the climate and they know how to deal with the changing temperatures. The harvesting of the mulberries begins with picking and shaking them from the tree. we do not damage the berries in this process, because we use collection sheets which are placed on the ground. When harvested, all the leaves, twigs an insects are removed from the collection sheets. When this is done the berrie are immediately naturally dried under the sun. this natural drying process makes sure that the mulberries keep their nutrients and at the same time it increases its flavour. After drying we double-check the berries before we put them in the packages, to make sure we only give the best quality mulberries to our clients.
