Coconut palm sugar is made in a natural 2-step process:

• A cut is made on the flower of the coconut palm and the liquid sap is collected into containers.
• The sap is placed under heat until most of the water has evaporated.

What is Coconut Sugar?

At Nutriboost our Coconut Sugar, Raw Coconut Nectar and Coconut Syrup are all made from the juice which comes from the coconuts palms flower buds. These flower buds get several slits, which will let the juice flow out of the flower buds. This juice is also called coconut nectar.

When coconut nectar is boiled until all of its water is evaporated and until it has thickened, you have coconut sugar.

Is your Coconut Sugar organic certified?

Yes! We are certified by SKAL and the Coconut Sugar we use originate from Indonesia. There is no need to use any pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and other harmful chemicals since they are grown in naturally fertile soils, we do not need to use any artificial fertilizers on it. Our Coconut Sugar is organically certified by SKAL Biocontrol and is, therefore, EU organic certified.

How is your Coconut Sugar made?

All of our coconut products are made from organically grown coconuts. The nectar from the coconut flower is harvested by climbing up the tree and making incisions on the stalk of the coconut flour. When the nectar comes out of the flower it is collected in bamboo containers, which is then heated until the nectar gets thick and concentrated. Throughout this process, there are no chemicals used because these can cause fermentation. Instead of chemicals, we use organic mangosteen peels, lime and water. This also means that the product is 100% organic.
