In this process, the beans are stripped, roasted, and pressed so that the fat, cocoa butter, is separated. The leftovers of this process are later turned into cocoa powder.

Cacao butter is one of the main ingredients in the making of chocolate. It is soft and has a creamy texture. That’s why it has a low melting point, around 32 to 35 degrees Celsius.
