Organic Cacao Butter

Organic Cacao Butter, also known as theobroma oil, is a pale-yellow, edible vegetable fat which is extracted from the cacao bean. It is used to make chocolate, as well as some ointments, toiletries, and pharmaceuticals. The flavour of cacao butter can be described as a cacao and aroma flavour.

Cacao butter has been used in beauty products like salves, lip balm, lotion, shampoo and make-up for years. But the research about this ‘’butter’’ deepens each year, so it is slowly becoming apparent that the uses of this butter go beyond external beauty product.

Cacao butter is an ingredient and not meant to be eaten as is. It makes a fantastic dairy butter substitute. You can either use it as an ingredient in recipes (to make chocolate for instance) or as a treat for your skin

What is Cacao Butter?

Cacao butter is made from raw cacao beans that have been pressed to extract its oils, which are now called raw cacao butter. Recent years the interest in raw food is growing has prompted many companies to produce more raw organic cacao butter. Cacao butter is the purest form of cacao oil and has most of the nutritional retained.  

Is your Cacao organic certified?

Yes! We are certified by SKAL and the Cacao we use for our Cacao Butter comes from South America. There is no need to use any pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and other harmful chemicals since they are grown in naturally fertile soils, we do not need to use any artificial fertilizers on it. Our Cacao is organically certified by SKAL Biocontrol and is, therefore, EU organic certified.

How is your Cacao made?

Our Raw Cacao butter is gently handled and processed which maintains the natural compound and nutrients which makes it better than normal cacao butter, not just in smell and taste.
